Nissan to cut 20,000 jobs

The latest on Nissan is that the company plans to slash 20,000 jobs for next year. Now this is troubling for the industry. Those jobs that will be lost will definitely hurt. This number is around 8.5 percent of Nissan’s global workforce. This news article mentioned that the loss that will be reported by Nissan will be $2.9 billion, and not simply $1 billion, as I earlier noted. According to its chief executive Carlos Ghosn, the auto industry is in turmoil and that Nissan is not exempted. Further information on Yahoo news.
