The partnership between the singer and the car maker thru its Mixed tape online music magazine is for the Underneath single, the first video/single from Alanis Morissette’s new album Flavors of Entanglement. The singer chose the fuel-efficient Mercedes-Benz E320 BlueTEC for the video clip. Alanis Morissette believes in making green choices in the local level as a way in creating a global change. And her choice of this car is one way to make a statement. She added that the Mercedes E320 BlueTEC is just perfect for the concept of the video. The video that was shot in Los Angeles shows Alanis sitting at a bus stop wearing a ‘Save the Earth’ t-shirt and distributing fliers that encourages concern for the environment. So when a Mercedes-Benz E320 BlueTEC passes by, the singer salutes the driver of the car in appreciation of his vehicle choice.
The new album of Alanis Morissette, Flavors of Entanglement will go on sale in Germany and Italy on May 30 and June 2 is the scheduled release for other countries other than the United States and Japan. It is scheduled to be released in Japan and US on June 2 and June 10. The video first premiered on May 20 on VH-1. By June, the Underneath video with the Mercedes vehicle will be posted online and on Mixed Tape. The Mercedes vehicle is V-6 powered and can provide the torque of a large V8, but with low fuel consumption.
