The Bugatti Veyron almost has it all. It comes with great speed- the fastest legal production car in the world (until this car was edged out by the SSC Ultimate Aero TT in 2007) and with stunning good looks both outside and out. For that matter, its sticker price is shocking as well. Each is priced at about $1.25 million. If that sticker price may jolt you, then better brace yourself for the newest Bugatti Veyron that is in the market. It is still the same Veyron with the same performance; but right now this car features the design work of Hermes. That’s right, the same Hermes that is known as one of the more prestigious fashion houses in the world. The newest Veyron is of course the Hermes-designed Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermes. This limited edition car sells for around $2.3 million.

This vehicle still features the renowned power that is known to a Bugatti Veyron. This is a 16-cylinder engine vehicle with 1001 horsepower. It can run from zero to 62 miles per hour in 2.5 seconds. But for the Hermes-designed Veyron, this vehicle is set to feature a Hermes-designed interior plus the best in automotive technology. The Fbg name actually stands for Rue de Faubourg Saint-Honore- the street where the headquarters of the Hermes Paris is situated. The car is designed by Gabriele Pezzini and the car’s interior will feature no visible stitches. This will be done by utilizing the same technique as done on Hermes famous saddles. A Hermes wallet is designed to fit into the console, and the car’s trunk will come complete with a Hermes suitcase. It is expected that 10-15 of these cars will be built and 5 cars are already sold.

Additional Information on the Bugatti Veyron

The Bugatti Veyron was first showcased at the Tokyo Motor Show on October 19, 2005 while the official US production release on the other hand happened at the 2006 Los Angeles International Auto Show. Aside from the Hermes special edition, the company also unveiled the Pur Sang special edition. This Veyron that was labeled as the Bugatti EB Veyron ‘Pursang’ was presented to the public at the Frankfurt Motor Show. What makes the Pur Sang edition unique is the fact that the Pur Sang has no body finishing. In place of the body finishing, the car reveals the pure aluminum-carbon fibre body. The Veyron isn’t fuel friendly. It is noted that the car consumes more fuel than any other production car. It uses 40.4L per 100 kilometer that translates to 6.99 mpg imp/5.82 mpg US in city driving. Another interesting fact; the car features ten radiators. Three radiators are positioned for the car’s engine cooling system; a heat exchanger for the air-to-liquid intercoolers, 2 for the air conditioning system, one each for the transmission oil radiator, the differential oil radiator, the engine oil radiator and the hydraulic oil radiator for the car’s spoiler.
